This Song is Bumpin

At first look many would see this picture as an angry soldier stealing an iPod from a teen that maybe stole music. What I see when I look at this picture is the perfect examply of what I am arguing against. Many people say that the music young adults listen to corrupts their minds and that they should stop listening to music the contains profanity, violence and sexual innuendo. To me this picture shows "the man" trying to control what kids are listening to because he believes that music is corrupting our youth. Music is something that many people love and enjoy and no one should tell a person that they can not listen to a song because it may contain violence. Music is something that some one should listen to based off of what their personal interest are. To me this photo shows that too many people are trying to control what goes in out music because of their beliefs that it is corrupting everyone that hears a few profane words. What I noticed was that the person holding the iPod looks innocent and definatly does not seem like he is out to murder anyone or is going crazy because a song dropped a few profane statements. The person seems confused as to why this man is all the sudden targeting him for no reason. This is why this picture meant a lot to me because it is a perfect example that people are trying to get rid of music that people like just because they feel as if it is corrupting all of its listeners when it really is not.
